2018 Update on Amony Lillian

Lillian completed her nursing studies at St. Mary’s Hospital- Lacor School of Nursing and was asked to stay on at the hospital as a nurse. This is a huge accomplishment, as the hospital only accepts the very best students to work at the hospital. We congratulate Lillian for her successes.

2017 Update on Amony Lillian

Lillian is studying at the Lacor School of Nursing and Midwifery. Recent classes have included Mental Health, Pharmacology, Surgical Nursing, Gynecology, Midwifery, and Reproductive Health. She completed her field practice in the summer of 2017 and will complete her program by the year’s end.


2016 Update on Amony Lillian

Lillian finished four years at Gulu High School and has completed her first semester at St. Mary Lacor Hospital Nursing Program. We wish her well in the next two-and-a-half year program. The goal for all of our students is to have an education that will provide the opportunity for them to be self-sufficient and Lillian is well on her way to that goal.

2015 Update on Amony Lillian

We are so very happy for Lillian. She did well in her final “O” Level examinations and has been accepted into a very good nursing school. She has now begun a 2.5 year course of study that includes on-site work at a hospital. We will be anxious to talk with her at our next January meeting.

2014 UPdate on Amony Lillian

Amony Lillian is now in her last year of four years ordinary level secondary education at Gulu High school. At the end of this year she will be taking a three week battery of exams which will determine the directions which she may take after these four years. Her options will range from two years of advanced secondary school to a number of vocational options.

Amony Lillian has done extremely well in Physics, Chemistry and History. She is presently ranked 36 out of a class of 288 students. We are very pleased to know that she is doing so well. She has written: “By good luck God said “my children will never suffer in my presence” and by then I entered in this organization (ChildrenUP) and joined Gulu High School.”

At this writing, we have recently added Amony Lillian to our ChildrenUP supported students. She will be attending Gulu High School where she will be joining 4 other ChildrenUP students. She is a particularly strong student in mathematics.
